Steve Mason is an account executive for our Benefit Solutions team at the Salisbury office. He joined Avery Hall in June of 2021. Steve specializes in working with individuals and families to help them find the best individual medical, dental, vision, life, and long-term care coverage. He also has his Certification in Long-Term Care (CLTC) designation, which focuses on the discipline of extended care planning.
Steve was born and raised in Boonsboro, MD, and came to the Eastern Shore in 1987 to attend Salisbury University. He completed his education with a Bachelor’s Degree from Salisbury. Steve is a veteran and served in the Maryland Army National Guard before joining the insurance industry as a Commercial Underwriter and Casualty Representative prior to Avery Hall.
Steve shares the same giving spirit that we value at Avery Hall. Currently, he volunteers with Chesapeake Housing Mission, Hands and Hearts Ending Homelessness Shelter, JR Achievement Center and more. He is a member of the Wicomico Rotary Club, Salisbury VFW Meuse Post 194 and Elks Lodge 817.
One of Steve’s favorite volunteer opportunities was participating in the Trinity Appalachia Service Project Team (ASP) with his family. The team built wheelchair ramps for local families and traveled to the Appalachian Mountains area to repair damaged homes.
In his spare time, Steve enjoys the outdoors with his wife Judi, their two children, and their family dog, Rhett. They love the beach, surf fishing, biking, and visiting historical sites.
