Shayne Ray is an Account Executive at Avery Hall Insurance in our Salisbury office. His Avery Hall journey began in 2019 as a part-time intern in both the marketing and accounting departments. At the end of his internship, he earned a promotion to work full-time with those same departments. Since then, Shayne has joined our insurance team and has grown in his career, working with our individual clients before transitioning to our business insurance team.
After some time in the commercial lines department, in June of 2022, Shayne earned the position as Commercial Lines Sales Coordinator. In August of 2022, he earned his Certified Authority on Workers Compensation (CAWC) designation, and earned his current position in 2023.
Before Avery Hall, Shayne worked at the Delmarva Shorebirds as a Marketing Intern and a Crew Boss on a produce farm in Hebron, MD.
Shayne has always been extremely passionate about sports, especially soccer and golf. He was on the Men’s Soccer team and Men’s Golf team at Wilson college.
In his free time, Shayne enjoys playing sports, spending time with friends and family, and going to the beach. A fun fact about Shayne, he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii! He later moved and was raised on the Eastern Shore. His Maryland pride is strong! Shayne loves cheering for the Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles, and the University of Maryland Terrapins.
His favorite charities include the Maryland Food Bank and Relay for Life.
Lastly, Shayne’s favorite quote is, “If you want to look good in front of thousands, then you have to outwork thousands in front of nobody.” He finds this quote very motivating as it expresses the importance of hard work and practice when no one is looking.
