Shayne Ray is an account manager in the personal lines department of Avery Hall’s Salisbury office. His Avery Hall journey began in 2019 as a part-time intern in both the marketing and accounting departments. At the end of his internship, he earned a promotion to working full-time with those same departments. Since then, he has transitioned into the insurance world working in the billing department and has his license in Property & Casualty, before being promoted once again to his current position.
Before Avery Hall, Shayne worked at the Delmarva Shorebirds as a Marketing Intern and a Crew Boss on a produce farm in Hebron, MD.
Shayne has always been extremely passionate about sports, especially soccer and golf. He was on the Men’s Soccer team and Men’s Golf team at Wilson college. He is currently the assistant coach for the boys’ soccer team at his high school alma mater, Mardela High School.
In his free time, Shayne enjoys playing and coaching sports, spending time with friends and family, and going to the beach. A fun fact about Shayne, he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii! He later moved and was raised on the Eastern Shore. His Maryland pride is strong! Shayne loves cheering for the Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles, and the University of Maryland Terrapins.
His favorite charities include the Maryland Food Bank and Relay for Life.
Lastly, Shayne’s favorite quote is, “If you want to look good in front of thousands, then you have to outwork thousands in front of nobody.” He finds this quote very motivating as it expresses the importance of hard work and practice when no one is looking.
