Account Manager | Proud Mama & Grandma | Disney Lover
Kimberly (Kim) Simpson is a commercial lines account manager at our Salisbury office. She has been a part of the Avery Hall team since 1999. One of the things Kim loves most about her job is that every day is different, so she never gets bored. She loves people and has met some of the greatest through her job!
Professionally, Kim has worked solely in the insurance industry. She is passionate about helping people and with insurance she can do that daily. In 2008, she received the Customer Service Award from the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors for her outstanding contributions to the insurance community and a steadfast commitment to professional excellence, education, and achievement.
Personally, Kim dedicated over thirty years to volunteering at the Life Crisis Center helping victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. During her time there, she has volunteered in a variety of different ways. From helping prepare the shelter when it was built to speaking directly with victims about resources available to them and creating safe plans. Kim plans to allocate most of her retirement to volunteering with this organization. Other charities she regularly supports include the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.
When she is not out winning awards for her volunteer service, Kim can be found spending time with her son and grandson- her greatest joys.
My favorite movie is Pretty Woman
Favorite book is 90 Minutes in Heaven ( I had a near death experience and that’s what this is about – part of it describes exactly what I saw on my journey – at the risk of sounding like a weirdo)
Favorite quote: Charles Spurgeon – A good character is the best tombstone. Those who loved you and were helped by you will remember you when forget-me-nots have withered. Carve your name on hearts, not on marble.
The last app I downloaded was – sadly – a banking app
I don’t have a favorite sports team
My favorite vacation was a 2 week driving trip to Texas to see my brother-in-law – we drove way down south going out and more north coming back, stopping all along the way to see sites and stay overnight for a little drinking – might want to leave that out!
Also my son and my grandson are my greatest joy. In my spare time I really just love finding a way to spend time with them. My grandson is 6!
