Kathy Bennett is the Senior Vice President of Commercial Lines Sales. She has been with Avery Hall since 1995 and works out of the Salisbury office. Kathy’s position entails working with owners & managers of businesses to identify coverage needs. Building those relationships and helping others is Kathy’s favorite part of her job.
Kathy’s insurance career began while she was still attending high school! She typed policies and filed for the local Peninsula Insurance Company. Since then, Kathy has earned the designations of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Risk Manager and has attended the USF&G Commercial Lines School.
Outside of work, she is very involved with local non-profits. Kathy serves on the board of directors for Salisbury Wicomico Development Inc. Kathy has volunteered weekly with Help & Outreach Point of Entry (H.O.P.E) – a local agency that focuses on the needs of the homeless population, for many years. She is proud of the work they do & the small part she gets to play.
In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym five to six days a week (a self-proclaimed “gym junkie” who thinks everyone has time to exercise daily!). She counts herself lucky to have a fantastic group of fellow gym junkies to encourage and support her. Kathy is also an avid reader, with Kindle Unlimited never far from her side.
She and her husband, Bruce, have two sons and a daughter. Their “other daughter” is their very spoiled Bully Pit, Nova, a rescue from the North Carolina Hurricane Florence. Their four granddaughters & two great-grandsons sure do keep them on the go. They also may be a bit spoiled!
