Joseph (Joe) Gast is the president of Avery W. Hall Insurance Agency, Inc. and works out of the Salisbury office. His journey with Avery Hall began in 1984, and he accepted his current position in 2013. Joe is proud to work in insurance because it allows him to help people. He has lived his entire life on the Eastern Shore and loves doing his part in making our communities better.
Joe loves having the opportunity to lead a team of dynamic people in providing outstanding service that offers protection to clients’ best days and hope on their worst.
Professionally, Joe has earned the designations of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
Outside of work, Joe is extremely active within his community. Currently, he is on the board of directors of the Recovery Resource Center in Salisbury, the YMCA of the Chesapeake, and the Hebron Savings Bank. He is also a member of the following organizations: Greater Salisbury Committee, the Nanticoke Rotary Club in Seaford, and the Knights of Columbus in Salisbury. Previously, Joe served as chairman of the inaugural 2018 National Folk Festival fundraising committee.
In his free time, Joe enjoys cycling, skiing, reading, and watching college basketball. His favorite sports teams to root for are the Boston Celtics and Red Sox. Joe resides in Salisbury with his wife, Jackie. He enjoys his visits to North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas to visit his children and his grandchildren.
