Cindy Whaley became the president of Avery Hall Benefit Solutions in 2009. She works out of our Easton office, which opened in 1994. Cindy is proud of the growth that the office has made. What started with just three employees in Easton is now ten!
As the president, Cindy, along with her business partner, Mary Mengason, manages two offices and 24 of the best staff anywhere! Her focus is on sales, administration, and management, and she specializes in employee benefits for businesses. Cindy enjoys helping employers figure out a cost-effective approach to offering their staff the best benefits within budget. She loves puzzles and feels her job is much like solving a puzzle.
Cindy is a past recipient of the Caroline County Chamber of Commerce Business Woman of the Year award and also serves as their Chamber ambassador. She has served as a director on the Caroline County Chamber Board of Directors and as a member of the executive committee as board secretary. Cindy is actively involved with Soroptimist International of Talbot County and has served on their board in several capacities. She also enjoys supporting many local charities, especially when they have silent auctions.
She currently resides in Denton, MD, with her husband, Dave. They have two grown sons who live nearby with their wives and four very special grandchildren. For fun, Cindy enjoys traveling, creating t-shirt and baby quilts, reading “who done it” books and solving Sudoku puzzles (without identifying possible numbers, which her oldest challenged her to try). Movies that have some intrigue, action, and romance are her favorites, like An Officer & A Gentleman, Saving Private Ryan, Forrest Gump, and Shawshank Redemption.
